What: Fic Amnesty Week!
Want to show off a favorite piece of fan-writing that you know you’ll never finish? Don’t know what to do with the 20k of that Bad Boys II AU you stopped writing six months ago? How about the 6K of that should-have-been-canon-compliant ‘lads holiday’ fic you’re too sad to ever complete? Well, you can post them to this AO3 Collection during Fic Amnesty Week!
This will be a time and place to post your unfinished stories free of guilt. A week where lack of willpower and determination is celebrated! A week where laziness is lifted up! A week where people who love to start things but can’t ever manage to finish them are the heroes!
At the end of the week, I’ll put together an extensive masterlist of the all the works posted, so you’ll get a little promo out of it, too.
Rules:
1) Fics must be unfinished and abandoned. This is not the time to begin posting a WIP that you might not finish. This collection is for works to which you never intend to return.
2) Fics should be at least 4K. As stated above, these fics are in their final form, so they should have at least a little meat to them.
3) All fics must feature at least one member of One Direction as the central character.
4) Fics should be proofread. Through beta-ing and polishing is unnecessary- that would defeat the purpose of the collection- but the fics should at least be readable.
5) You may post anonymously. Just shoot me a message and your fic will be posted anonymously and will remain that way forever.
How do I sign up? No sign-ups required! Remember, this is for lazy people. Just post your fic(s) to the AO3 Collection between October 15-22. It’s that simple!
