hey there!! yes, i did! hahahah ❤️

i think the best thing about studying abroad was how much freedom i had? like i was so far away from my parents, so i had to do everything by myself and learn to live on my own and survive on my own? there’s just something that’s so liberating about being by yourself far away from home–like i felt like i could finally take a deep breath and enjoy my life and figure out who i’m meant to be. i also loved that i was in a country that was so completely different from my own, culturally, and being immersed in that for a while just made me appreciate more the diversity of the world!

i think my favorite thing about austria (aside from the fact that i could buy muesli anywhere hahaha) was how organized, clean, and efficient the people were? i mean, picture this: i come from a country where we don’t have any proper pedestrian lanes/areas (god knows why) and i grew up learning how to jaywalk. i go to austria and there were proper pedestrian lanes, the cars would actually stop for you when you cross the street (not try to run you over like they do here) and everything was just so clean and efficient. literally when my dad picked me up after my semester abroad and we went to paris, i almost started crying while crossing the street because i didn’t know how to anymore and the cars were so fast and scary :((( hahahhaa but yeah! i also really loved the architecture of vienna and salzburg, and they’re not exaggerating when they say austrian landscapes are some of the prettiest in the world (because really, some of the stuff i saw was breathtaking) 💕
