i think I’ve said it before but first of all, I understood literally 2% of movie. Like what the fuck were they saying. Why did it have no audible line of dialogue. Why the fuck. What was the script even.
Second, characters were shit. I was not attached to any character except Tom hardy and cillain Murphy and Harry styles. They all could’ve died on that island and I would’ve been like ‘oh okay’.
Third, that editing. Why was the time not….easily understood. Like. Why was one 10 days, the other 1 day, the other 1 hour????? Like I know it was experimental and intentional but I was so confused as to why is it morning in one and dusk in one and night time in one???????? Why??????
And lastly, it’s a white movie that glorifies the whites. How many more war movies do we need about white people saving each other and how much more of white history do we need made into movies???? How many?????? Not that this criticism is directed at Dunkirk rather than the whole film industry—but like. Dunkirk just reminds me of this because of how unnecessary that movie is. Like it was completely unnecessary and unneeded. It pisses me off. This bastion of “British history” or some shit like literally stfu. I pretended I liked it but IM DRUNK ON PALOMAS AND I REALLY WOULD NOT WATCH IT AGAIN NOT EVEN FOR HARRY STYLES
