don't really understand the debate on getting earrings either. 1 it doesn't really hurt if done right, it's like sb pinching you with their finger nails for a second? 2 babies especially cry for other reasons than just pain or discomfort, but in the scenario of getting your ears pierced it might be surprise or being afraid fo the unknown. 3 I could see it being a point of discussion if the child is really young because of their weak immune system and risk of infection but other than that?

yes i agree!! my mom was telling the story of me getting my ears pierced right, so she sat me down in the pedia’s office and i was playing with a bunch of stuff as babies do, then the pedia like lifted the piercing gun onto my ears and pierced it, and i got startled because of the loud sound it made, and i was like still for five seconds trying to process before i started crying 🤷🏻‍♀️ i mean if it hurt that bad i think i wouldve started crying immediately, you know? and every piercing has a risk of infection, it’s easier for the parents to take care of when babies are younger because they don’t move around much yet and you really take care of it! idk!!
