I really like Finnish too bc it’s so different from all the other languages. For instance, the words for imagination are very similar in English, French and Italian but in Finnish it’s mielikuvitus, in which mieli=mind and kuvitus=illustration. Another weird one: lohi=salmon and käärme=snake, but lohikäärme=dragon. And saippua=soap, kivi=stone and kauppias=seller, so saippuakivikauppias = a soap stone seller, and it’s the same backwards, making the word the world’s longest palindrome.

Omg!!!! That’s so cool, it’s like the German way of putting together words to make new words!!!! It looks difficult to learn though :( I only know the word “tiu” in Finnish means 20 eggs, which I kept laughing about cause it was so oddly…specific
